    Brighton Art Fair 2008

Feedback from both artists and visitors to the Brighton Art Fair this year has been fantastic. Thank you to all the artists who exhibited with us  for providing ' the highest quality show to date' and to all the visitors who came through the doors and showed their enthusiasm both verbally and by buying lots of art!

Our thanks too to the Dome and their exceptional staff and all our sponsors especially Michelle Ogundehin Editor in Chief of Elle Decoration who took the time to come and open the fair at the Private View.

Here's what some of our visitors said about Brighton Art Fair 2008 ...
'I go to all the arts and craft fairs in London; Frieze, Zoo, Origins, Affordable, Biz Design Centre, etc and I had assumed that last night would be a small regional event with a few local artists. Sorry...I couldn’t have been more wrong. Couple of lovely illustrators, one of which I will almost certainly be commissioning, great atmosphere, engaged artists (so rare), lovely venue. '
    'Beautiful and stimulating as always'
'Always an enjoyable fair to visit with artwork that is affordable'
'Magnificent display of craftmanship, technique and representation'
    'Excellent exhibition'
'What a lot of talent - excellent'
    'A particularly good year'
'Brilliant - diverse styles and work. Thanks!'

Michelle Ogundehin reflected in the May edition of Elle Decoration....
" As markets topple and credit gets crunched, it seems to me that it's more important than ever before to invest only in what you really love, things that effect you emotionally, because at the end of the day, being surrounded by those things is what will keep you going."

Side ViewBrighton Art Fair has gained a considerable reputation as an excellent, high quality, accessible and eclectic art fair. It is organised for artists by artists and the main emphasis is on individual artists selling directly to the public.

Set amid the Regency splendour of Brighton’s Corn Exchange, the fair showcases affordable artwork mostly between £50 and £1500. Artists are carefully selected from over 300 applications received each year and we aim to exhibit artists who are producing very high quality, original and innovative artwork across a wide mix of media and styles.

Brighton Art Fair is an opportunity for new and experienced art buyers to meet and purchase work direct from the artist, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. There is a cafe run by Food Solutions Partnership where visitors can take a break, relax and think about any purchases.
